It started with Facebook

Do you like facebook?  I do.  It’s fun.  It’s social.  I can talk to people all over the country without leaving my cozy house.  It’s almost as fun as sitting in an airport and people watching.  People intrigue me.   I have been dropping random thoughts on my wall for a couple of years.  Facebook posters come in all shapes and sizes.  Honestly, I don’t think about what I’m posting in great detail.  Ok?  I don’t think about it at all.  It just falls out of my brain.  Most of what I say comes out that way.  I have been told that I don’t have a filter.  It’s true.  I don’t have a filter. In the underworld of facebook, I have several friends who suggested organizing my random thoughts on a blog.  I ignored the thought for awhile for two reasons.  The first reason is simple.  I hate the word blog.  It just sounds gross and boring.  BBBBLLLLOOOOG.  The second reason is also simple.  I never read anyones blog so why would anyone read mine?  Then I thought about it a little more and it made sense.  Why not?  I like to talk.  I like to write.  If I have a blog I can write a little more freely without bogging down the FB news feed, right?  I can babble all day on  www.mrsdohertyunleashed.com ….why?…..because…say it with me….I OWN it.  Ohhhh yeah baby!  Now I own two things.  A suburban with a broken speedometer and this blog.  I’m such a bad ass. Those fancy moms do not have anything on me.  I hope you enjoy reading.  I am slightly afraid that I will be unleashed and babbling and nobody will comment.  Please don’t make me feel like a dentist. They talk all day and nobody ever responds. So awkward.

  6. ha ha! I’m an idiot. I exchange sleep to write a Blaaaaaahg post. A role model I am NOT! A little coffee will give you a full 36 hour work day. XOXOX

  7. How the f*** do you have time to write a blog?? You are like some sort of super housewife and it really pisses me off. Well at least I can finally keep up with Mrs. Doherty without Facebook. Yes, this is a step in the right direction. Love you and your overachieving 36 hours in a day. “I’ll have what she’s having!” Work it girl.

  8. Thanks everyone. I will try to post a little “something” about “nothing” everyday. Bookmark me, follow me or just pop in when you please. I’ll be here. Unless of course, my husband gets a stuffy nose and needs his nurse.:)

  9. As you know from Facebook, I love the quick and easy “Like” button, but I love this and promise to throw a comment your way more often! Great job so far. I’ll definitely be a follower.

  10. I agree that I see a lot of myself in you, too. So, I won’t bother flattering you with compliments, or it might come off as self-serving and bragging. 😉 I will definitely read this blog, and I am not a blog-reader normally, either. I once had a website about truth and had to shut it down because apparently I was too honest. haha I, for one, appreciate wit and no filter, though, so I also believe you will gain an audience for that. Best of luck in this new endeavor!

  11. Love it. I see alot of myself in you. Four kids. Daughter named Maggie. Excellent taste in friends. And then there’s the no filter thing. Write on. I will be reading.

  12. keep it up mrs. doherty. those of us who read it will laugh, feel refreshed and know that we are not alone in this crazy world of motherhood, marriage and car repair!
